Washer / Dryer Repair

Of all appliances, washing machines break down most. They have many moving parts, most of which are nearly always in contact with water. Your dryer, on the other hand, is a fabulous luxury, especially in wet weather.

The inconvenience of being without your washer, dryer, or both, soon escalates as the dirty laundry starts piling up. So, don’t hesitate before calling Adam’s Appliance Repair. One of our technicians will be on your doorstep and repairing your appliance before the day is done.

Our technicians are experts with years of experience and are fully qualified to handle all major brands.

Why did it break down?

Many things could cause your washer or dryer to fail. There is often more than a single problem, making diagnosis particularly difficult. Electrical, mechanical, or plumbing related issues are easy to spot, for an expert.

Rather than attempting the repair yourself, call that expert. You may only find part of the problem, and might create an additional problem that could invalidate your warranty, costing you more than a professional would.

We guarantee we can restore your device to its original spec, maximizing its lifespan.

Common problems, troubleshooting, and repair

Appliance making a loud noise

An unusually loud noise coming from your washer or dryer could be caused by a number of things–a pump, motor, belt, shock absorber, the blower wheel, or drum support roller. Any of these could be at fault, requiring cleaning, reinstallation, or replacement.

If the problem is an old and frayed drive belt, the problem is easily rectified by installing a new one.

Leaking washing machine

If water is leaking from your washing machine, it’s probably a faulty hose. The hose might be frayed or cracked. A replacement is the best option. The drainage pump could be the problem. If it is, it will probably need to be replaced.

Washer or dryer won’t turn on

Check that power is available at the wall outlet by trying a different appliance. If it is, check the fuse in the washer/dryer plug. If it still won’t power on, then is the time to call the experts at Adam’s Appliance Repair.

Dryer won’t heat

Problems with dryers are often caused by poor airflow, due to a buildup of fluff in the machine or in the filter. Try cleaning the filter and vacuuming out the air duct. If that doesn’t fix things, call us before trying anything else.

Should I consider a replacement?

With proper care and maintenance, a washer should last you around 11 years, and a dryer 13 years. If one of our technicians thinks that your appliance will cost more to maintain than to replace, they will tell you. Our aim is to keep this as cost effective as possible for you. We are here to help.

No matter what’s going on with your device, we can help. We offer affordable, reliable, high-quality services, and we do it quicker than anyone else. Get in touch with our team today.
